        Unfit to serve because "labours under chronic rheumatism result of climate and [service and soemthing aggravated and not as a result of vice - I think!] - Regimental Medical Offficer. And:  "Unfit for further service in consequence of impaired general health" - Principle Medical Officer . Total service 21 years 294 days.

        Note - rank stays same throughout, but Pay rises in 1851, '53, '55, and '59.

        Note 2 - for some reason is discharged from the Horse Guards - a terminology thing? - SJL

        Discharge at Chatham, Kent, may be because stationed there or perhaps was at Fort Pitt which was the military hospital (and first Army Medical School).

        This is the correct marriage for Joshua b. 1820. His father is John Leader who is a Labourer and Elizabeth Robinson's father is James, a Glover. Certified copy of Certificate via qltn - now uncontactable. I don't know how to untangle these two from the Middlesex two (which is apparently Elizabeth Green) so will leave for now and re-do later. - SJL 5 June 2019.
