THE KITCHEN ARMOURY:
CUIR BOUILLI ON THE ELECTRIC STOVE

This is a work in progress - some links may not work yet. UPDATE: The first nine parts of this project were entered into the Wellington Medieval Guild's Arts ∓ Sciences competition at its 21st Anniversary Celebrations on Nov 9-11 2007. To my immense surprise, the project was disqualified from the competition, and instead was treated as my Apprentice-piece and Artisan status conferred! The next stages of this project will therefore form part of my Master-work, so do visit for updates!

Notes:

1. The heater shield has cuir bouilli leather strengthening the top and sides. If you are interested please check out at the Heater Shield Project. (Work done January-February 2006)

2. In Part Six reference is made to creation of a leather gorget. As this is not a cuir bouilli construction it is not included here. If you are interested anyway please go to <Gorget Project> (a link will arrive at some stage!).
