Family sources say this is Thomas Leader b 1844 son of William Leader. Original source says Thomas E Leader (and so labelled in family photos) so more likely Thomas and Bridget's son Thomas Ephraim. NB TW Leader recognises the gateway as at the original Northlane in Portage la Prairie. He said the just visible barn was log and dowel pegs (no nails) and that the windmill was used to raise the hog after dipping in the cauldron of boing water. [SJL - Dec 2015]
